The combination of physiotherapy with the Ayurvedic system of medicine creates a complete rehabilitation system which focuses on restoring health to patients. The primary goal of physiotherapy is to enhance movement abilities and strength development and functional independence through physical treatment methods which have scientific backing while Ayurveda aims to maintain Dosha equilibrium and perform detoxification and rejuvenation processes and provide personalized treatment. In recent years, growing attention has been directed toward the integrative use of these systems for the management of chronic musculoskeletal disorders and neurological conditions and post-operative recovery and lifestyle-related diseases. This review compiles and discusses the theoretical concepts, therapeutic principles, clinical applications, advantages, and limitations which exist between physiotherapy and Ayurveda. The study investigates how Ayurvedic treatments which include Panchakarma and Abhyanga and Swedana and herbal medications, support physiotherapy techniques which use therapeutic exercises and electrotherapy and manual techniques. The integrative approach improves rehabilitation results because it treats both physical disabilities and health system disorders. The present study demonstrates how integrative rehabilitation has developed in modern healthcare systems which require professionals from different fields to work together for better patient results.References
