Author Guidelines

The International Journal of Holistic Health and AYUSH (IJHHA) welcomes original and high-quality scholarly contributions in AYUSH, Integrative Medicine, Holistic Health, Traditional and Complementary Medicine, Clinical Research, Public Health, Nutrition, Natural Products, and Wellness.

The journal accepts Original Research Articles, Review Articles, Systematic Reviews, Scoping Reviews, Case Reports, Case Studies, Short Communications, Perspectives, and Commentaries relevant to the journal's scope.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Manuscripts must be original and must not have been published previously or be under consideration by another journal.
  2. All authors must have made a meaningful contribution to the work and approved the final manuscript.
  3. The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal and for ensuring that all authors approve the submission.
  4. Manuscripts should be written in clear English and prepared according to the journal's guidelines.
  5. Authors must ensure that manuscripts are free from plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, and other forms of academic misconduct.
  6. Research involving human participants, animals, clinical interventions, or other ethically sensitive subjects must comply with applicable ethical requirements. Ethical approval and informed consent should be provided where applicable.
  7. Patient confidentiality must be protected, and appropriate consent must be obtained for identifiable patient information or images.
  8. Authors must disclose relevant conflicts of interest and funding sources.

MANUSCRIPT FORMAT

Manuscripts should normally include, where applicable: Title, Author Names and Affiliations, Corresponding Author Details, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements, Funding Statement, Conflict of Interest Statement, Ethical Approval/Informed Consent Statement, Data Availability Statement, Author Contributions, and References. The structure may vary according to the article type.

TITLE AND ABSTRACT

The title should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the manuscript. Original Research Articles should include an informative abstract covering the purpose or background, methodology, major findings, and conclusion. Other article types should provide an appropriate abstract.

KEYWORDS

Authors should provide 4–8 relevant keywords using appropriate scientific and disciplinary terminology.

REFERENCES AND CITATIONS

Authors should use a consistent scholarly citation style. For biomedical and health-science manuscripts, a Vancouver-style numbered citation system is recommended.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that references are accurate, complete, and appropriately cited.

TABLES, FIGURES AND SUPPLEMENTARY MATERIAL

Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively and cited in the manuscript. Each should have an appropriate title or caption. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for copyrighted material reproduced from other sources. Supplementary material may be submitted where relevant.

ARTICLE PROCESSING CHARGE (APC)

An Article Processing Charge is applicable only after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication following editorial assessment and peer review.

Indian Authors: ₹5,900 per accepted article.

Authors Outside India: US$75 per accepted article.

No APC is charged at the time of submission. Payment is required only after formal acceptance of the manuscript. Payment of an APC does not influence editorial decisions, peer review, or manuscript acceptance.

SUBMISSION AND PEER REVIEW

All manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment for scope, originality, completeness, and suitability. Suitable manuscripts are subject to double-blind peer review. The Editor-in-Chief has overall responsibility for the final editorial decision.

ORIGINALITY AND ETHICAL RESPONSIBILITY

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that the work is original and is not simultaneously submitted elsewhere. Authors are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of their work and must comply with applicable research and publication ethics.

AUTHOR RESPONSIBILITY

Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the information, data, references, statements, and conclusions presented in their manuscripts. Submission of a manuscript indicates that the authors have read and agree to comply with the journal's submission, peer-review, ethical, copyright, and publication policies.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Peer Review Articles

Manuscripts submitted to this section are subject to editorial assessment and peer review in accordance with the journal's peer-review policy.

Original Research Articles

This section publishes original, unpublished research that contributes new knowledge to the fields covered by the International Journal of Holistic Health and AYUSH (IJHHA).

The journal welcomes original research using appropriate quantitative, qualitative, clinical, experimental, observational, epidemiological, laboratory-based, community-based, and interdisciplinary methodologies.

Research may address areas including AYUSH, Integrative Medicine, Holistic Health, Traditional and Complementary Medicine, Clinical Research, Public Health, Nutrition, Natural Products, Wellness, and related fields.

Submissions should demonstrate a clearly defined research question or objective, appropriate methodology, scientifically sound analysis, clearly presented results, and a meaningful contribution to existing knowledge.

All manuscripts must meet applicable requirements for research ethics, informed consent, ethical approval where applicable, data integrity, and responsible research reporting.

Case Reports/Case Studies

This section publishes well-documented Case Reports and Case Studies that provide meaningful clinical, therapeutic, observational, educational, or practice-based insights relevant to the scope of the International Journal of Holistic Health and AYUSH (IJHHA).

The journal welcomes cases related to AYUSH, Integrative Medicine, Holistic Health, Traditional and Complementary Medicine, Clinical Research, Public Health, Nutrition, Natural Products, Wellness, and related fields.

Case reports should present a clear and informative description of the case, relevant clinical or contextual information, assessment or diagnostic findings where applicable, intervention or management, outcomes, and discussion of the significance of the case.

Case studies may address individual cases, community-based experiences, healthcare practices, interventions, or other professionally relevant situations that provide useful scholarly or practical insights.

Authors must ensure appropriate patient confidentiality, informed consent, ethical compliance, and responsible reporting. Identifiable personal information must not be disclosed without appropriate consent.
