Abstract

Tinea versicolor is a superficial fungal infection caused by Malassezia species, commonly presenting with hypo- or hyper-pigmented macules and confirmed by Wood's lamp showing golden-yellow fluorescence. Atopic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory dermatosis characterized by itching, erythema and relapsing eruptions.

This case study describes a 63-year-old male driver presenting with lacerated wound of the right little finger with bullous eruptions, discharge and pricking pain, along with chronic atopic dermatitis and tinea versicolor. He also had numbness along the ulnar nerve distribution and elevated HbA1c (6.4%).

Repertorization and miasmatic analysis indicated a predominantly psoro-sycotic background with syphilitic tendencies in tissue destruction. Constitutional Causticum, acute Gunpowder, and intercurrent Sulphur were prescribed as per susceptibility. Marked improvement was observed in wound healing, cessation of discharge, reduction of numbness, and control of dermatitis without relapse over follow-up.

This case highlights holistic classical homeopathic prescribing leading to structural, functional and emotional transformation at Dr Batra's® Homeopathy Clinic.
