VAYASTHADI GUTIKA LEPA: A CLASSICAL AYURVEDIC FORMULATION FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF SHWITRA (VITILIGO) – A DRUG REVIEW

Abstract

Vayasthadi Gutika Lepa is a renowned classical Ayurvedic polyherbal formulation described in Chakradatta (Kushtha Chikitsa 50/66) for the effective management of Shwitra (Vitiligo). It is primarily indicated as an external Lepa (paste application) that helps in repigmentation of depigmented patches by addressing the underlying Tridoshaja pathology, particularly Kapha-Vata vitiation and Rakta-Mamsa Dushti.
