Abstract

Cutaneous warts are benign proliferative lesions caused by Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), commonly affecting children and adolescents. They often persist for years, showing resistance to conventional treatments such as cauterization, topical keratolytics, and surgical removal, with frequent recurrence. These lesions can significantly impact self-esteem, especially when located on the face.

This case study presents a 14-year-old male with multiple recurrent warts on the face, hands, and feet for over five years. The condition persisted despite prior homeopathic and conventional interventions. The case was associated with marked behavioral traits including anger, compulsive cleanliness, and sensitivity to contradiction.

A classical homeopathic approach was adopted using repertorial analysis based on mental generals and physical characteristics. Belladonna was selected as the constitutional remedy, supported by intercurrent remedies during the course of treatment.

Over a period of 15 months, there was gradual but complete drying of warts on the face with significant reduction in size of plantar lesions. No new eruptions were observed, and the patient’s emotional stability and confidence improved markedly.

This case demonstrates the role of individualized homeopathy in managing chronic viral skin conditions resistant to conventional therapies. The transformation was achieved at Dr Batra’s® Homeopathy Clinic.
