Alopecia areata is a common, immune-mediated, non-scarring hair loss disorder characterized by unpredictable relapsing–remitting episodes. Affecting both children and adults, Alopecia areata has a substantial psychosocial burden and remains therapeutically challenging due to its heterogeneous presentation and variable natural history.
