Baryta group is also known as Barium group. Barium is found in group IIA of periodic table, in which Magnesium and Calcium group are also present. It is a silvery-white metal that can be found in the environment, where it exists naturally. It occurs combined with other chemicals, such as carbon, oxygen, and sulfur. The main theme of the IIA is seeking of security and protection and stunted growth. Baryta group medicines are very important in treating diseases of children and old aged person.
