Abstract

The term Hepatitis refers to the condition of the liver. It is usually caused by a viral infection, but there are other possible causes of hepatitis A type of autoimmune disease, alcohol, toxins, and other drugs, other hereditary diseases, and long-term obstruction of the bile duct. Hepatitis A virus called hepatitis A, B, C, D, and E. In 2013, an estimated 19,764 people in the US were recently infected with Hepatitis B. Worldwide, an estimated 2 billion people are infected with HBV. 240 million people have chronic illnesses, and about 600,000 people die from HBV-related liver disease each year. Perinatal HBV infection is less likely to be undiagnosed, while 5% to 15% of children aged 1 to 5 years and 33% to 50% of older children, adolescents, and adults have acute hepatitis after HBV infection. More than 90% of newborns, 25% to 50% of children between the ages of 1 and 5, and 6% to 10% of older children with a serious illness have chronic illnesses. The sample size was 60 patients. Data were collected using a systematic questionnaire. The analysis was performed with descriptive and non-descriptive statistics. A study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of a structured education program with information on the causes and prevention of Hepatitis B in 3 selected hospitalized patients.
